Five on Friday

Jul 26, 2013

Today, we're up early and catching a 7am flight to Charlotte! This will be Noah's first plane ride and I'm excited to see how he'll like it! As I wrote about last week, there is an Ikea in Charlotte and we're heading there Saturday morning to do a little shopping. While I'm going to need Michael to hold me back and not let me buy the entire store, I do have a few things in mind. Here's a little looksee at my Ikea wish list....

I obviously won't be bringing all of these home, but a few of the smaller items fit in our budget and will hopefully fit in our luggage, too! I love that Ikea has some amazing products that are affordable and good quality at the same time.

Linking up today with the Five on Friday crew - NatashaDarci, April, and Christina! We're off for our trip! Hope you have a great weekend!

  1. Good luck with the plane ride! Since he sounds like such an easy going baby, I'm sure you'll be fine! My parents have that rug in their living room and it's really cute. It does look dirty pretty quickly, but they have a dog. Although, you do have Michael...

  4. I am looooong overdue for a trip to Ikea. It's been three years- eek! Our closest one is 2 hours away. We'll probably go sometime this fall! YES, get those stacking rings. We have them and Seth loved them when he was little. I can't wait for baby brother to play with them, too!

  5. Good luck on the plane! I LOVE Ikea. We have one pretty close to my house and I've taken Graham there a few times just to stroll around. It's a great place to go on rainy days. We also used Ikea when we renovated our kitchen. Love my Ikea cabinets! And they were way cheaper than any other cabinets we looked at and super easy to put together and hang. (Or at least my husband and father-in-law said they were.) :)

Man, now I really want to go to Ikea this afternoon!

    1. Thanks, Holly! We've thought about building in the future and will definitely use Ikea's kitchen items. I love their farm sinks and it seems like their prices are reasonable! Glad they worked out for you so well!

  6. I have to go buy the hammering block for O! I almost bought one very similar from Melissa and Doug, which is so much more. We almost bought the same headboard but decided on another one that was closer to the PB one I really wanted. Happy friday!

    1. This one was only $8- so affordable and if it gets messed up, you hardly wasted any money! We ended up not getting the headboard. I'm curious to see PB's, but theirs are usually more expensive. I look their and at Restoration Hardware for huge sale or clearance!

  7. My daughter has a hammering block and stacking ring set almost identical to those...we got the Melissa and Doug brand for her. She LOVES them. Still working on her hammering skills, but she loves the stacking rings.

    1. This is the first time I've heard of Melissa & Doug! I might have to check them out! Noah is loving banging things together so I know he'd love a hammer and something he can't destruct!
